Pink's Monthly Makeover

Meet Jill:
It's a brand new year, and for Jill Conley, this represents the start of a new life. 2010 brought Jill some major life changes, both painful and bittersweet, that have catapulted her into dreams of a fresh start. After 12 years as a housewife and stay-at-home mother, Jill has found herself alone in an empty nest. Not only are her children now grown and out of the house, she and her husband divorced during 2010. Since the business world has inevitably changed over the last 12 years, she has begun taking classes to prepare for re-entry into the workplace.With the new year, she has opened her mind to a new career, possible relocation and the opportunity for new relationships. To assist Jill in her quest for a fresh start, we were happy to provide her with a brand new look to increase her confidence.

The Hair:
We started off at Salon Shelter Cove, where Jill put her hair in the skilled hands of Carla Bozeman, Leigh Anne Maiden and Shannon Hammock. Although Jill has been a blonde her whole life, with the team's suggestion, she agreed to try out a chocolate brown color with caramel highlights. Carla began with Tocco Magico, an Italian color, and accented with Balayage, French, hand-painted highlights that add a three-dimensional and sun-kissed appearance. Although the color was a big change, the richness definitely warmed up Jill's complexion and made her eyes pop!
 In a tag-team effort, Leigh Anne took over with the cut. She decided to cut in plenty of layers to increase the body of Jill's hair, angled her bangs for a chic appearance and finished by texturizing for even more volume. Lastly, Shannon took over to style her hair into a sophisticated, yet manageable "do". She used several Redken products for smoothing and shine, plus a little old-fashion teasing for added lift. "Bigger hair is back!" Shannon explained.

The Makeup:
Once the team at Salon Shelter Cove had worked their magic, we headed over to Serendipity Medical Spa for some relaxation. Esthetician Katie Coffey began with a rejuvenating facial using Skin Medica, a medical-grade exfoliating product, paired with a Clarisonic tool to massage and clean her face. Next, Jill moved to makeup where Katie used the Jane Iredale line to make Jill's face glow. She used beautiful hues of purple to accent Jill's dramatic eyes and finished off the look with a breathtaking nutmeg lip liner and gloss.
Jill's makeup colors: Dream Tint SPF Moisturizer/Foundation, So Bronze bronzer, eye shadows in Petal and Cloud Nine, eyeliner in Plum, mascara in Black, lip liner in Nutmeg and lip gloss in Desire.

The Outfit:
Jill threw on a stunning, custom made outfit from Luciana that complimented the bold colors in her makeup and the richness of her hair. In her one-of-a-kind clothing, Jill felt like a new woman with a renewed confidence to not only face, but take-on, her fresh start. Bring it on!
