Throughout the Lowcountry, the authentic charm of historical sites and allure of scenic sunsets and backroads continuously win the hearts of its visitors, but the real blue ribbon of the Lowcountry rests upon the cuisine. Southern cooking is what brings dancing to the kitchen, the licking of spoons and connection with the ones you love.

From the owners who brought you the ever popular fine dining staples Ela’s On the Water, one of Hilton Head’s classic and delectable fine dining experiences, and The Pearl in downtown historic Bluffton, Roadhouse Ribs, Steaks and Seafood offers the same class and experience with a hospitable, casual, Southern twist. Not only do they have BBQ that makes people exclaim, “Now that’s what I’m talking about,” they also serve up seasoned-to-perfection juicy steaks, savory seafood, finger-lickin’ ribs, fresh salads, delicious desserts, and my personal favorite, their better-than-my-Grandma’s mac ‘n cheese. *Cue your mouth watering*

Roadhouse brings Southern charm to the islands of Beaufort County with fare filled with flair. Voted BEST BBQ restaurant in Beaufort County, it's been recognized by the Beaufort Award Program. You won’t be able to get enough of their award-winning BBQ, pulled pork, and smoked brisket, which blends time-honored traditions of the Carolinas, Texas Hill country, Memphis and Kansas City into a smoky sensation all their own. Roadhouse brings so much to the table—both big on flavor and portions. From a menu filled with creative comfort food to a sophisticated selection of wine, spirits and beer, these fixins’ are sure to satisfy any palate.

Not only is the food top-notch, the history of the Beaufort Lowcountry also echoes throughout. Inside the restaurant, you get a sneak peek of its true soul. Before transforming to Roadhouse, the building was used as a dance studio. When remodeling the building for the restaurant, the floors were delicately preserved to become the walls in keeping the aesthetic authentic and filled with tradition. To add to the dedication of hard working people everywhere, one wall is covered with photos of owners Earl and Diane Nightingale’s family members who have served in the military throughout the years.

If you haven’t visited Roadhouse, I would say it is about time. With the down home atmosphere and the unforgettable BBQ, Roadhouse is sure to become one of your favorites. Plus, you can count on them to safely serve you with staff in masks and tables generously spaced. Located a little off the beaten path in Port Royal near the Broad River Beaufort bridge, Roadhouse is nestled on five acres amidst big, old,  beautiful oak trees and is easy to get to no matter what direction you’re coming from—right off 170. It’s the perfect location for events with a private room, an outdoor patio and plenty of parking. In addition, bulk packaged products of all the fixin’s are available for those choosing to create their own event at home. Make your reservation today, or order take-out with curbside pick up.
