New Book Launch Bright Little Girls
A Southern Thriller
April 2025 Issue
Lorna Hollifield is a Southern author with a real twist. “I’m not the Southern author with sweet tea dripping everywhere, I write about dark and ugly things,” Lorna said. Her newest book, Bright Little Girls, is full of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Bright Little Girls is getting excellent reviews. In fact, New York Times Bestselling author, our very own local Patti Callahan Henry said, “Lorna Hollifield's prose and story shine. Drenched in Southern atmosphere, and rich in character, Bright Little Girls is a testament to the great lust for life that can both harm and heal. Through gasp-out-loud twists, we watch Eliane reach her own crescendo in both life and writing. Evocative and suspenseful, Bright Little Girls will keep you turning the pages and guessing until the very end.”
The main character in the book, Eliane Pangolin, isn’t like anyone her mysterious follower has ever met. Eliane has Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and anxiety—and so does Lorna in her daily life. “It’s a real depiction of struggling with mental illness, even the quirks that come with it sometimes. But I believe it’s the ups and downs woven all together that make us who we are,” Lorna said.
With a mind-blowing, unpredictable ending and many surprises along the way, some are saying this is the best book they’ve read in a very long time. It has hit the bookshelves with an unstoppable energy. It is Lorna’s third novel and the best one yet.
