Get ready to light up your summer with fun fashion that explodes with American style. Wearing red, white and blue has long been a classic way to put some patriotic passion into your wardrobe, but this year, it’s all about new ways to sizzle. Set off some fashion fireworks with these sparklers.
Romp and roll. What could be easier and breezier than onesies? One-piece shorts and tops are cool picks for Fourth of July picnics and parties.
Play polo. Want to experience “elevated Americana”? Designer Ralph Lauren may be the ultimate purveyor of American style, and this summer the folks at Ralph Lauren are offering their iconic mesh Polo shirt embroidered with an eagle and historical flags to celebrate their U.S. heritage.
Go sailing. Another American designer with roots in patriotic style, Tommy Hilfiger sails into summer by re-issuing their yacht racing collection. The red, white and blue capsule collection blends Tommy’s urban preppy attitude in fresh looks, which include hooded racing jackets, overall dresses, logo T-shirts, color block cardigans and more.
Top it off. If keeping it simple is more your style, then showing your patriotic colors by topping off a pair of skinny denim capris or cut-off shorts may be the way to go. Add a soft, washed tie-dyed T-shirt, a striped rugby shirt or a wrap-front ruffle sleeve top.
Head west. Americana fashion has hit the runways this year inspiring designers around the world from Chanel to Dior. Give your summer wardrobe a western vibe with a patchwork maxi dress, a gingham shirt, a fringed buffalo check vest or long, ruffled prairie skirt.
Celebrate with sequins. If there’s ever a time to wear a sparkler, it’s the Fourth of July. This summer, celebrate with shining red, white and blue sequins. For real party pizzazz, throw on an American flag sequin tank top or a bomber jacket. Or customize your own Converse sneakers with star glitter.
Get in the swim. This one’s an easy way to celebrate good ‘ole American style...just suit up in chic swimwear in red, white and blue just in time for the Fourth of July pool parties and beach vacations. From teeny tiny bikinis to retro maillots to surfer shorts and caftan coverups, now’s the perfect time to dive into summer’s patriotic pizzazz.
Extra pops. If there’s ever a time to go over the top and wear head to toe red, white and blue, it’s Fourth of July; but you can always just add a pop or two of extra holiday fun with just the addition of one or two accessories. Whether it’s a pair of platform wedges by Tommy Hilfiger, a sparkly beach tote or a huge flag scarf that can double as a beach wrap, go big or go small, but show your patriotic colors this summer and celebrate the best of American style.
