It’s pretty easy to have a stellar attitude when you know your purpose and you have what you need to execute it. But if you don’t have what you need, the purpose alone could still be enough. The trouble comes when people are mistaken about or don’t know what is their purpose. Better to just to name one and go after it than to stress over which one to claim. Clarity of purpose will be the saving grace to this Mercury retrograde.

Aries (March 21-April 19).
You could use help, and you’re in a good position to ask for it. The only thing holding you back is the idea that you should already know this. Drop it. Consider that maybe everyone who acts like they know what’s going on doesn’t. It’s a month to get honest people on your team. It’s easy because you are also honest.

Taurus (April 20-May 20).
Time has its role. The space between interactions is part of interactions. When people are early or late, it means something. Hesitations matter. They can indicate lies, or point to deep truths. Rushes and overlaps and grooves are all functions of timing. Your respect for time has you paying attention this month.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
While it feels good in the moment to divulge yourself, it can be the least interesting option available to you. The urge to share your views will be strong. Give a little, but hold back. Because if you resist, then another urge will take hold—the urge to learn how it is in their world. That’s the one that comes with a takeaway.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Relationship lines blur. Professional and personal, platonic and romantic... jogging things into the groove where they fit is a bit challenging. Maybe you can avoid murky relationships and messy situations by being true to your feelings. Then again, maybe it’s going to be a glorious mess and that’s all for the best.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
The dark side of peace is not conflict. Conflict only serves to enhance a state of peace, as it provides a contrast and an ideal for which to strive. The dark side of peace is stagnation, which hosts any number of terrors. Don’t let the action stagnate. Keep marching on, through the harmony, through the fight. Just don’t stop.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
How would your life change if you made your own happiness a top priority? And how is that different from when you make the happiness of those close to you a top priority? This month, there will be ways for everyone to be happy at once, and you’re clever and considerate enough to come up with them.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23).
The more you understand yourself, the more you appreciate how unique you are. But how do you get to know yourself better? The same way you’d get to another—interview yourself, take yourself on dates, put yourself in novel situations to see what happens. Self-knowledge will tip off a fortuitous chain of events.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
There are some questions you just shouldn’t have to ask. For instance, “Do you like me?” If you have to ask, then “not enough” is your answer. So, which side of the equation is off? Are you not being receptive, or is love not being shown? Make it a priority to prize, seek and nurture mutually loving relationships.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
It’s not unusual for your day to change as you make moves to accommodate those close. You care about them, and you’ll meet their needs in whatever way you can. Even when it’s not convenient for you, you’ll still be the one to adjust and support. Just make sure you’re not co-dependently giving too much.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Do you feel a little vulnerable around people? Good. Unshakeable confidence is a fine look, but it leaves no place for people to hook in. No one knows what to do with someone who has all the answers. But the one who needs help, wants participation and admits there’s room to grow will be the catalyst of team spirit.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
The value of most relationships is intrinsic. The trouble starts when we treat a relationship as the means to an end instead of as an end itself. Expectations can become the enemy of love. If you love what’s there, and keep looking for lovable qualities, then you’ll find an endless abundance of them.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
You feel the best when acting in accordance with your finest nature. It gets tricky sometimes because it’s like there’s an entire committee inside your head running your personality like a democracy. The higher angels do sometimes get outvoted. The important thing is to hear everyone out—and don’t give up.
