At the beginning of each year, many people choose to evaluate their lives and set resolutions for the upcoming year. And everyone knows...your body’s health is usually near the top of the list. Whether you are looking to lose a few pounds or tone up, smoothies are a great alternative to help with weight loss. We’ve teamed up with Silk® to bring you great recipes that will have you feeling better in no time.
Silk offers soy-based and almond-based milk that isn’t just for the lactose-intolerant. The team at Silk has worked to create a milk subsitute that offers a dairy-free, responsibly-produced product, with no artificial colors, flavors or high-fructose corn syrup.
So why drink soy or almond milk? More and more people are recognizing the benefits of fruit, vegetables, nuts and grains. Improving your diet can be as easy as slipping in an extra serving or two every day. Infusing more of these important components may reduce mortality from heart disease, lower cholesterol and diabetes.
The benefits of Silk are fantastic for your body. It has 50 percent more calcium, zero cholesterol and 25 percent lower calories than skim milk. Silk’s soy milk and almond milk also have a lot less saturated fat than dairy milk counterparts. And to top it off, soy protein is the only protein recognized by the FDA for its role in supporting heart health. Enjoy these flavor-filled smoothies that help boost your health and a few that satisfy those pesky sweet cravings, too!
